Lessons are updated daily most school days. We use articles from various major news sources, identify vocabulary words and create discussion questions designed to promote critical thinking, challenge assumptions and stimulate class discussion. Selection of an article does not imply izzit.org agreement with the article or its perspective.

Note: Each new lesson remains on the website for one week. It is then archived. The archive is purged at the end of each school year.

Reminder to subscribers regarding summer break: Please do NOT unsubscribe from our Current Events email reminders for the summer.

Current Events email reminders will end on May 26, 2017 and resume September 5. Lessons will continue on our website through June 16, 2017 and resume August 7.

Summer is almost here. Hang on, you can make it!
