Teachers! Share your "winning ideas" and you could win $1000 and a trip to San Francisco where you will formally be announced as one of the 2009-2010 izzit.org Teachers of the Year!
Am I eligible? If you are a teacher in grade 4-12 and use any of the izzit.org DVDs or our Current Events, you are eligible. In addition, you must be able to attend the entire Winning Ideas Weekend, which will take place June 24-26, 2010 in San Francisco, California. If unable to do so, the prize will be given to your grade’s runner-up.
How do you decide who wins? The winning teachers are those who most effectively and creatively use our DVDs and/or Current Events to introduce students to the benefits and characteristics of free societies.
How do I enter? Simply submit this form.
How many teachers will win? Seven. We will grant separate awards to teachers in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. An additional award will be granted to an elementary teacher (grades 4-6)
What can I win? Each Teacher of the Year will be presented with The David and Annette Jorgensen Award for Excellence at a formal awards ceremony in San Francisco as part of our Third Annual "Winning Ideas Weekend." This will be an all-expenses paid trip for the winning teachers. Each winner will also receive $1000.
What is the deadline to submit? March 1, 2010.
When will the winners be announced? On March 29, 2010, we will announce the winners on this page and via email to all who applied.
I have another question. Can you help? Of course. Call us toll-free at 1-888-242-0563 or send an email to ask@izzit.org.
